Joseph P. Majzik, 75, peacefully passed away at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
He was born on April 22, 1948, in Youngstown, a son of the late Joseph and Flavia Doumont Majzik.
Education played a significant role in Joseph's life as he graduated from The Rayen School in 1966 and further pursued higher education at Youngstown State University. His affiliation with the Sigma Pi Fraternity showcased his strong sense of camaraderie and connection within a community.
Joseph's dedication to his career was evident through his commitment to owning and operating Eastwood Quick Print, where he served the community with passion and excellence.
He was a devoted member of Holy Family Church, he dutifully served as an usher. His altruistic nature extended to his roles as a retired volunteer firefighter for Poland, a trustee for the Poland Historical Society, and dedicated poll worker in both Poland and Youngstown.
In his personal life, Joseph cherished time spent with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Gwendolyn Gollner Majzik, whom he shared many beautiful years together since their marriage on January 31, 1970; two children, Jennifer Majzik of Westerville and Richard Majzik of Westerville; two grandchildren, Jessica and Austin Burchinal; siblings Barbara Medzie of Savannah, GA; Thomas Majzik of Youngstown; James Majzik of Youngstown; William (Leia) Majzik of Youngstown; and Paula (George) McArthur of Garfield Heights.
He is now reunited with his parents, along with his sister, Mary Theresa Majzik.
Family and friends may call at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel 2726 Center Road, on Sunday March 24th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Prayers will be held on Monday March 25th at 9:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Holy Family Church at 10:00 AM.
