Austintown- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and prayers at 9:30am in the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Joseph C. Sobinovsky, age 81, of Austintown, who died Wednesday evening at his residence.
Joseph was born January 25, 1927 in Youngstown to the late Louis and Anna Klein Sobinovsky.
He retired in 1985 from Interstate United after 43 years of service operating several cafeteria's in the Youngstown area.
He was a proud veteran of WWII, serving in the Army as a Staff Sergeant in the Pacific Theatre.
Joe was a member of the Church, and the American Legion Post 301.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Al, Louis, and Andrew Sobinovsky.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Violet Shasho Sobinovsky, whom he married April 19, 1952, two daughters, Joanne Eugene Colombo of Hudson, and Karen Dennis Evans of Poland, a son, Joseph Christine Sobinovsky, Jr. of Martinsburg, W.Va., three beloved granddaughters, Maria, Gina, and Lisa Sobinovsky; two sisters, Virginia Christopher of Youngstown, and Mary Yurko of Youngstown, a brother, John Dorothy Sobinovsky of Youngstown.
Friends may call Sunday from 3-6PM at the funeral home.
Burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley, and the Doctors, Nurses and Aides that helped take care of Joe.
