AUSTINTOWN ? Private family funeral services were held this morning for Joseph A. ?Joey? Traino, 69, who passed away at Hospice House on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 30.
Joey was the 12th child born to the late Samuel and Rose Lepore Traino on July 1, 1940 in Youngstown.
While living in Youngstown, he worked at the Syro Steel Company and owned and operated Joe?s Carpet Cleaning. In 1980, he moved to Columbus, where he continued his carpet cleaning business.
Joey is survived by three brothers, Ralph, Sam Virginia and Vincent Pam; eight sisters, Mary Mester, Ann Sibeto, Frances Reents, Antoinette John Simon, Connie Iaconis, Joann Vito Leardi, Rosalie Fred Nolfi and Rita Vito Restaino; and many nieces and nephews.
Joey was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Lena Caimano; and an infant sister, Frances Traino.
Arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
