YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Josephine Kupec age 85 of Youngstown who passed away Saturday at St. Elizabeth Health Centers E.R..
Josephine was born February 2, 1920, in East Brady, PA, the daughter of Mirko and Mary Bompage Serich.
She had worked at the Ravenna Arsenal during W.W.II, and later worked at the Higgins Funeral Home in Austintown as a receptionist and housekeeper for over 30 years before retiring. She was a former member of St. Brendan Church.
Her husband Bernard J. "Ben" Kupec whom she married September 17, 1949, died April 27, 1992.
She is survived by her son Bernard J. "Ben" Kupec Jr., and a grandson Chris Kupec with whom she made her home, two sisters, Barb Serich of California, and Mary Furka of Karns City, PA, and four brothers, Greg Serich of Michigan, and William, Robert, and Steven Serich all of PA.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Serich, and Catherine Blasic, and two brothers, Joseph, and George Serich.
Friends may call from Noon to 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
