YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows St. Matthias Church for Josephine T. Repko, 80, who passed away Friday evening at Pembrooke Place.
She was born Oct. 12, 1934, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Patrick) Susak, and lived in Youngstown most of her life.
Mrs. Repko was a caterer and an avid entertainer, cooking holiday meals for a family of 40 or more each significant holiday. She loved to go camping, to play cards and bingo.
She is survived by her two sons, Raymond Michael (Deanna) Repko and Edward Martin (Laurie) Repko; her grandchildren, Michaela Angelina Zullo, Miranda Anna Zullo, Rachael Yvonne Repko, and Daniel Edward Repko; and her great-grandchildren, Cecilia May Zullo-Michalski, Jozie Ray Purfey, and Jacob Purfey.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Michael Repko; her daughter, Diana Lynn Lockard; two grandchildren, Michael Anthony Zullo and Loretta Josephine Zullo; and 12 brothers and sisters, brothers Michael, Joseph, Andrew, George, Albert and Johnny Susak; and sisters Mary Kaszmerzak, Ann Shewak, Jay Ludt, Helen Murar, Francis Sudac and Marge Hudock.
Family and friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will hold a prayer service at 5:45 p.m.
Burial will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.
