POLAND - Prayers will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m., at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon for Josephine "Jaye" Sinesio, 92, who passed away Thursday at her home.
Josephine was born March 28, 1922, in McKees Rocks, Pa., a daughter of Felix and Teresa (Tessicini) DelTondo.
Josephine was a charter member of the Holy Family Church, where she was a CCD instructor for 10 years. She retired from housekeeping at the church's rectory. Josephine was a longtime crossing guard and worked in the cafeteria at Holy Family School. She was also a member of the Semona Valley Club.
Josephine leaves two sons, Ronald Sinesio and Jerome Sinesio, both of Poland and a sister, Catherine Amery of Pittsburgh.
Jospehine was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Cercone, Ann Wilson, and Lee Land and two brothers, Albert and Vincent DelTondo.
Family and friends may pay their respects Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place a Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to Holy Family Church, 2731 Center Road, Poland, OH 44514.
