YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Josie Mae Todd, 81, who died Tuesday afternoon at Caprice Nursing Home.
Josie was born Sept. 13, 1933, in Harman, W.Va., the daughter of Stephen and Rose (Day) Smith.
She was a member of the Crossroads Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her favorite soap operas, and listening to country western music.
Josie's husband, Charles Todd, whom she married April 2, 1953, died July 15, 2010.
She is survived by two daughters, Fern (Joseph) Venable of Youngstown and Elizabeth Todd of Youngstown; three sons, Charles S. Todd of Arlington, Texas, James Leroy Todd of Youngstown and Thomas Todd of Youngstown; a sister, Joann Lambert of West Virginia; four grandchildren, Raymont Ingram, Joseph Hartsfield, Jonise Hartsfield, and Stephen Todd; and 10 great grandchildren.
Josie was also preceded in death by two sisters, Velma Fornash and Viola Smith; and two brothers, John Hamrick and Williard Smith.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
