YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 5:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, for Joseph R. Karnes, 31, who died unexpectedly Friday evening at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Joseph was born October 19, 1981, in Warren, to John Karnes and Beth Ann Karnes.
He was a 1999 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and was currently attending ITT Tech Institute, majoring in Graphic Arts. Joseph was employed at Knight Line Embroidery as a screen printer.
Joseph loved all Cleveland sports, especially the Browns and Indians. He enjoyed collecting M&M memorabilia, watching NASCAR and playing chess.
He is survived by his fiancé, Nicole A. Lynch, his daughter Krista J. Karnes, and step daughter Dakota Lynch, all at home; his mother and step father, Beth Ann and Ray Smith of Struthers; two sisters, Angela (Paul) Johnson of Warren and Crystal Karnes of Struthers; a brother Jon W. Karnes of Girard; two step sisters Danielle Scarnati and Shannon Binion both of Niles; a half sister Raeann Karnes of Niles; and several nieces and nephews.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father John Karnes and his brother Cody Karnes.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 5 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
