Josphine Lucas

POLAND ? Josephine Lucas, 90, died peacefully on Thursday, July 29, at the Woodlands at Hampton Woods.
Ms. Lucas was born on Oct. 31, 1919, in Struthers, daughter of John and Mary Bjaloncyk Lucas.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Lucas was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Bresnahan; her brother, Carl Lucas; and a niece, Mary Jo Bresnahan Olson.
Ms. Lucas worked for many years as a Medical Technologist at the Youngstown Hospital Association before her retirement in 1983. She was a member of the Holy Family Church in Poland.
Aunt Jo is survived by her seven nieces and nephews and their spouses; 26 grand-nieces and nephews; and 10 great-grand nieces and nephews.
The family is extremely grateful to the staff at the Woodlands at Hampton Woods, and Hospice of the Valley for their compassion and care.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date; burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
