Joyce Dempsey

Joyce was born March 25, 1955, in Youngstown, the daughter of James and Kathryn Groza O'Hara.

She was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and worked as a waitress at the Saxon Club for many years.

Joyce enjoyed doing crafts, especially making wreaths. She also enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Most of all, Joyce enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (James) Bryant of Liberty; sisters, Charlene (Gary) Monroe of Canfield and Kathleen Vaughn of Brookfield, brother, James (Marianne) O'Hara of Austintown; four grandchildren, Michael (Amanda) Bryant, Kelsey Bryant (Dan Johntony), Jacob Bryant (Gabriella Torok) and Jacelyn Bryant; and three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Leonardo and Aria.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; son Jackie Lunn; and grandson, Isiah.

Family and friends may call Friday from 11 am to noon at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home.
