CANFIELD - Prayers will begin Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, for Judith A. Marki, 71, who died Monday afternoon at home.
Judith was born Sept. 27, 1941, to Jack and Ruth (Hillman) Watson.
She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, niece, cousin, friend and "Juju."
She attended Cardinal Mooney High School and graduated from South High School in 1960.
After marrying Richard Link Lakovich on Feb. 24, 1962, Judy and Link lived in Washington, Hawaii, Ohio and Virginia.
Along with her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard.
Judy was a lifelong parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Youngstown, and was remarried to Donald J. Marki on Oct. 12, 1990.
Judy was a spectacular cook with a wonderful sense of humor, and fashion and enjoyed entertaining friends and loved ones. Her infectious spirit and warm heart will always touch the lives of all who know her, including those she worked with at Mahoning Bank, Phar-Mor Corporate Office and most recently as a home health aide.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Marki; a daughter, Lisa (Lakovich) Justice of Pickerington; a granddaughter, Asyssa (Matthew) Ackerman of Worthington; a grandson, Alan Justice; and a brother, Richard Watson of Hubbard.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to St. Patrick Church.
