YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Judy "Aunt Judy" Garcar, 76, who died Saturday evening at the Hospice House.
Judy was born Jan. 7, 1937, the daughter of William E. and Marilyn Worley Arnold.
She was a graduate of South High School and had worked at the McKelvey's Grill, most recently she was the owner/operator of the AMA Club on Youngstown's West Side. Aunt Judy was also an avid Indians and Browns fan.
Her husband, James Garcar, whom she married in 1991, died in 1994.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Fabry of Canfield and Brenda (Edward) Wacht of Campbell; a son, William (Teresa) Irwin of Boardman; a stepdaughter, Patricia Garcar of Youngstown; a stepson, James (Melissa) Garcar; a sister, Betty ( Thomas) Linebaugh of Youngstown; three nieces, Karen (Joseph) Datko of Youngstown, Kim (Brian) Stanley of Austintown and Alanna (Greg) Bailey of Warren; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Kevin Linebaugh.
Friends may call from 5 to 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations be forwarded to the AMA Club for a memorial in Aunt Judy's honor.
