CANFIELD - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Church for Karl T. Kuszaj, 75, who passed away Monday.
Karl was born Oct. 14, 1941, in Hutchinson, Pa., a son of the late Carl and Mary (Lichwa) Kuszaj.
Karl retired as a technical director for American Standard in Salem and had several industry patents. He was a polymer chemist who traveled the world. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening and was an avid reader. He also had an interest in history. His greatest love was for his family, especially spending time with his only grandson.
Karl leaves his wife, the former Mary Ann Zavacky, whom he married Aug. 6, 1966; two sons, Karl Kuszaj of Canal Winchester and David Kuszaj of Boardman; a grandson, Jacob Kuszaj of Boardman; a sister, Roseann Crotsley of Bethel Park; a brother, Sylvester Kuszaj of Arnold, Md.; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel and Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Michael Church.
