Austintown -- Memorial Services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Katherine Solomon, age, 56 of Maplecrest Dr., Austintown who departed this life Tuesday afternoon at Northside Medical Center, after a two year battle with cancer.
Kathy was born May 1, 1947 in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Margaret Slavik Sevissky. She had worked in the medical profession for many years having been a certified medical assistant and recieving certification in Phlebotomy from St. Elizabeth Hospital, She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church where she had also been a greeter.
Kathy will be always remembered by her family and friends for her heart of gold. She was always willing to help anyone who was in need.
Kathy will be greatly missed by her mother Margaret Senvissky of Austintown, her son Josh Solomon, of Austintown, Stepson Jules Lisa Solomon of Fort Wayne, Indiana, a sister Peggy Bob Harris of Boardman, a brother Jack Sue Senvissky of Warren, Ohio, Three grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call one-half hour prior to services Saturday morning at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to the St. Jude's Children Hospital. Arrangements are by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
