Katherine Wilson

BOARDMAN - Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, North Jackson Chapel, for Katherine Marie Wilson, 93, who passed away Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, with her niece, Katherine, by her side.

Katherine was born March 15, 1922, a daughter of the late Wilbur M. and Ruth (Tierman) Wilson.

Katherine was a 1940 graduate of South High School and then went on to secretarial school. She was head account secretary for the Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 34 years, retiring in 1976.

Katherine was a member of Lisbon and Leetonia VFW. She was also a member if the Scandinavian Health Club from 1980 to 2008. Katherine loved to swim and work out every day and was an animal lover.

Katherine leaves her nieces and nephews, Cheryl Shuller, Wilbur C. Wilson, Katherine M. Keener, Debbie Warworth, Christine Locke, and Brian Wilson; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Katherine was preceded in death by William "Bill" Davis, her companion of 37 years, until his death in 1983; two brothers, Wilbur O. Wilson and Clarence Wilson; and a sister, Edith Kaiser.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
