BOARDMAN - There will be services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Feeney-Hornack Funeral home in Indianapolis for Kathleen Kertis, 90, who passed away Monday morning at her home.
Kathleen was born July 7, 1916, in Indianapolis, a daughter of William Euert Reginald Hesselgrave and Elizabeth Mary D¹Alton.
Kathleen was a 1930 graduate of Holy Cross. She retired in 1974 from the U.S. Army treasury department after working 21 years in payroll. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church.
Her first husband, William Tuttle, whom she married in 1939, died in 1972. Her second husband, Joseph Kertis, whom she married in 1974, died in 2000.
Kathleen leaves her caregiver and friend, Tina Dave Mauerman and her family, with whom she made her home in Boardman; a sister-in-law, Flo Hesselgrave; a stepgrandaughter, Dee Kertis; as well as the many cherished nieces and nephews.
Besides her husbands, Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; five brothers; and a stepdaughter.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Feeney-Hornack Funeral Home.
