BOARDMAN - Kathleen A. Odoguardi, 72, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman, Ohio.

Born on January 12, 1953, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Tom and Ann Duffy, Kathy was a lifelong resident whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.

Kathy graduated from Rayen High School in 1971. In September 1973, Kathy married her high school sweetheart, Jerome F. Odoguardi. She devoted 27 years of her life to working as a paraprofessional for Austintown Schools, where her passion for education and love for children shone brightly.

Together, Kathy and Jerome enjoyed the thrill of visiting casinos and spending joyous weekends playing the slot machines. They sometimes traveled to Las Vegas for their casinos, creating many cherished memories. Kathleen had a profound love for travel, often dreaming of time spent by the ocean. Although she and her husband were dedicated to their careers, they still made time for each other, their family, and their beloved activities. She loved watching sports, especially when rooting for Ohio teams, and she delighted in the excitement of fantasy football. Later in life, she discovered a new hobby—creating beautiful wreaths. But despite her many hobbies, she loved to be immersed in a good book.

Family was central to Kathy's life. She was a devoted mother to Jeff (Rowena) Odoguardi and Amy (Greg) Iacofano, who will always carry her memory in their hearts. As a grandmother, affectionately known as "Grandma Trixie," she found immeasurable joy in the lives of her two grandchildren, Nick and Ava, who were the light of her life. Kathy's loving nature extended beyond her immediate family; she was a nurturing sister to Dona Barrett, Pat (Linda) Duffy, and Charles (Chrissy) Duffy, as well as a supportive sister-in-law to Laura (Tom) Basista and Joseph (Susan) Odoguardi. She leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, and is also survived by her beloved father, Tom Duffy, and her closest friend, Mary Romeo, who shared in the laughter and unwavering support they provided each other through life's ups and downs.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Duffy (Davis), and her dear husband, Jerome F. Odoguardi.
