Kathryn Blank Pachell, 89

Poland ­ Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at
Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial
at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church for Kathryn Blank Pachell, 89, who passed
away early Saturday morning at Hospice House.
Kathryn was born Dec. 14, 1918 in Youngstown, the daughter of Valentine and
Elsie Heckinger Blank
She attended East High School and was employed by Republic Steel as an
inspector. She was a former member of St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed feeding
the birds, riding her bike and playing bingo.
Her husband, Patrick W. Pachell, whom she married July 18, 1958 passed away
March 16, 2003.
Kathryn leaves her brother, Raymond Norma Blank of Struthers, and several
nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters,
Dolores Howe and Henrietta Wiley; and six brothers, Edwin, Daniel, Conrad,
Robert, Anthony and Lester Blank.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at
Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Poland Chapel.
