AUSTINTOWN ? Kathryn ?Kay? V. Straley, 81, died early Sunday morning at Briarfield Manor.
Kathryn was born April 5, 1929, in Youngstown, to the late Marshall J. and Mary Conway Nashette.
Besides her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Delbert Pete F. Straley, whom she married April 6, 1948, and who he died July 12, 2006; two sisters, Helen Glass and Wilma Sharette; and four brothers, Jack, Robert, Charles and Paul Nashette.
Kay is survived by her two sons, Chuck Straley and wife, Meighan Leenhouts of Malden, Mass. and Dave Straley and wife, Chrissie of The Colony, Texas; five grandchildren, Renee? Driscoll, Scott Straley, Kelly Jones, Kendall Straley and Shaye Straley; five great-grandchildren, Hannah Driscoll, Berlyn Driscoll, Leighanne Jones, Christian Jones and Aaron Jones.
Kay worked for JC Penney?s Accounting Center in Dallas and Salt Lake City, Utah for 10 years, before retiring in 1989. After retiring, Kay worked for Plaza Donuts in Austintown for five years and Burger King in Salem for six years.
There will be no calling hours or services.
