Services will be Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Keith E. Cook, Sr. age 84 of Woodridge Dr. who passed away suddenly Tuesday afternoon at his home. Keith was born August 29, 1919, in Youngstown, the son of Alfred Curtis and Adelaide Beil Cook. He had worked at the U.S. Steel McDonald Works for over 42 years as a heater until its closing. He was a member of the Western Reserve United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Cornersburg Happy Seniors, the Chatter Box Club, and an avid Y.S.U. and Ohio State football fan. He was a volunteer fireman for Austintown Twp, where he was named a permanent member in 1958. For many years he enjoyed working the local parades, and fireman's festivals.
His wife the former Betty F. Myers whom he married April 12, 1941, died May 6, 1999.
He is survived by two sons, Keith E. Louise Cook, Jr., and Kenneth R. Diane Cook both of Austintown, nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a brother Donald R. Cook.
Friends may call from 6 PM to 8 PM Friday evening and for 1/2 hour prior to services Saturday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
The family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to either the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the Western Reserve United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
