CYPRESS, TEXAS - Kenneth Lloyd Enoch, 88, passed into the loving arms of God on Nov. 6, 2013, in Cypress.
Ken was born Jan. 14, 1925, in Little Washington, Pa., to Lloyd and Helen Gantz Enoch, and spent his youth in Youngstown.
He graduated from Chaney High School in 1943.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert.
He leaves his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara; his daughter, Kendra (Paul) Plath; sons Craig (Shirl) and Michael Enoch; grandchildren, Nicole, Hannah, Kenneth, and Michael; and a great-granddaughter, Aubri. He also leaves his sister, Dorothy (Frank) Lepore of Canfield; and numerous other family members and friends, whom he loved.
Ken proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and the Korean conflict, where he was a prisoner of war in solitary confinement for 20 months.
In 1954, while stationed at Harlingen Air Force Base in Texas, Ken met the love of his life, Barbara Wilson. They married in 1955 and moved to Houston in 1960 to raise their family. He enjoyed dancing, traveling, painting, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and annual pilgrimages to Wurstfest.
A cum laude graduate of Youngstown State University in 1960 with an Electrical Engineering degree, he was a Texas State Licensed Professional Engineer, member of IEEE, and a master electrician. He was employed by Fish Engineering.
Church memberships included St. John and St. James Lutheran Churches, where he sang in the choir and serviced on many committees.
Ken is resting peacefully in Heaven. Always the life of the party, he was a kind soul with a cheerful disposition and a wonderful sense of humor. Ken lived his life well and left his family and friends with many happy memories.
Services were held at St. John Lutheran in Cypress with interment at Houston Nation Cemetery.
