SURPRISE, ARIZ. - Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church, for Kenneth Allen Shick, 85, who died Thursday morning at Banner Del Webb Medical Center in Sun City West, Ariz., surrounded by his family.
Kenneth was born July 22, 1931, in Coolspring, Pa., the son of Floyd and Anna (Glontz) Shick.
He was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Kenneth worked as an assistant manager for Ohio Bell for 37 years until retiring.
He was a member of the 32nd Degree Mason and a Scottish Rite while he lived in the area.
He is survived by his wife, the former Virginia Gearhart, whom he married Sept. 13, 1963; and his son, Kenneth (Karen Olsen) Shick of Phoenix.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; son Kevin Floyd Shick; and brothers Clifford and Eugene Shick.
Family and friends may call Friday from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, 2432 Raccoon Road, Austintown, OH 44515, or to Valley of Youngstown Scottish Rite, 223 Wick Ave. Youngstown, OH 44403.
