AUSTINTOWN - Prayers will be held Thursday at 10:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Church for Kenneth R. Wilhelm, 86, who died Monday morning at home, surrounded by his family.
Kenneth was born Feb. 9, 1927, in Youngstown, to Kenneth and Ruth (Brubaker) Wilhelm.
He was a graduate of Wilson High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Kenneth worked as a Jr. Field Engineer at Sheet and Tube.
He was a member of St. Charles Church. Kenneth had a passion for building model trains and loved to boat and water ski. He also adored his two grandchildren.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, the former Dorthea Biro, whom he married Feb. 16, 1957; a daughter, Sharlyn (George) Beelen of Akron; two grandchildren, Sarah and Laura; and his pet bird, Christopher.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
