Kevin O'Connor

YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, for Kevin Brian O'Connor, Jr., who died suddenly Friday in Struthers.
Kevin was born Feb. 21, 1964, in Fayetteville, N.C., the son of Kevin B. O'Connor, Sr. and Sandra (Wood) O'Connor.
After graduating from Hampton High School, Kevin served our country in the U.S. Air Force, among other deployments, serving in the Libyan Conflict as an Air Traffic Controller. He was currently employed as a Customer Service Representative at Liberty Mutual Insurance.
He is survived by his mother Sandra O'Connor of Youngstown; his father, Kevin (Deidre) O'Connor, Sr. of Nicholasville, Ky.; a sister, Theresa (Bryan) Parker of Toronto, Ontario; two brothers; Michael O'Connor of Chicago and Brian O'Connor of Lexington, Ky.; and his girlfriend Kim Slattery of Youngstown.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Mary O'Connor; and Hubert and Elizabeth Lorz.
He leaves behind a large, extended family that includes many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel.
Kevin's family has requested that any material tributes take the form of donations made in Kevin's name to veterans organizations such as, the Wounded Warriors Project or the Ellsworth V.F.W.
