Kevin Pryor

POLAND - Prayers will begin Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Holy Family Church at 10 a.m. for Kevin J. Pryor, 53, who died Sunday morning.

Kevin was born May 5, 1965, in Youngstown, the son of James and Alice (Slanina) Pryor.

He was a graduate of Poland High School and volunteered his time at the VFW Post 3538 in Struthers. Kevin was a member of the Holy Family Church. He enjoyed music, watching the cooking channel, and socializing, especially on the telephone. Kevin will always be remembered as a gentle soul and a friend who was nice to everyone. He was also very thankful and appreciative to anyone who helped him.

Kevin is survived by his sisters, his twin, Kathryn Mincher (Brian Nord) of Poland, MaryAnn Pasternak of Concord Township and Susan (Jack) Smith of Struthers; four brothers, Robert (Audrey) Pryor of Girard, Thomas (Deborah) Pryor of Poland, Mark (Maxine) Pryor of Salem and John (Roberta) Pryor of Sunbury; stepsister Jane (Ken) Mills; stepbrother James (Kelly) Serich; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Julia Pryor.

Family and friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to especially thank Jim Dill for always being a friend and being so kind and helpful to Kevin.

They have requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, OH 44471.
