YOUNGSTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Lauren Nicole Bowman, 13, who passed away Monday at her home.
Lauren was born Nov. 20, 2002, in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert C. and Marijane (Layko) Bowman.
Lauren was an eighth grade student at St. Christine School. The greatest passion she had was for softball. She also enjoyed reading and drawing.
Lauren loved animals, especially her dogs. She always had fun playing with her sisters and loved her time with her family.
Lauren leaves her parents; her two sisters, Kaylin and Marissa Bowman; maternal grandparents, Deacon Ronald and Nancy (Dota) Layko of Austintown; paternal grandparents, Bob and Gretchen Bowman and Kathy Bowman, all of Austintown; her dogs, Emily, Katie, Holly, and Charles; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lauren was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal great-grandparents and her dog, Muncie, who was waiting for her on the rainbow bridge.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Christine Church.
There will be Cursillo Bible Vigil at the conclusion of calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to the Lauren Nicole Bowman Memorial Fund at Farmers National Bank, 3619 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, OH 44511, or at any of their branch locations.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
