YOUNGSTOWN - Lawrence Dunn, 87, died peacefully Friday, March 29, 2024 at Omni Manor Nursing Home surrounded by his family.
Lawrence was born July 14, 1936, in Youngstown, the son of Wilford and Eleanor (Robinson) Dunn.
He attended Austintown Fitch High School. Lawrence was a veteran of the National Guard.
He worked for Packard Electric as an artos cutter as well as driving truck until retiring in 1991.
Lawrence loved to fish. He was a member of many fishing clubs, including the Bass Fish Club, Girard Lakes Bass Club, and Mohawk Valley Bass Club. He competed in many fishing tournaments that he especially enjoyed doing alongside his son.
Lawrence is survived by his children, Skip (Maryann) Dunn of Austintown, Dave (Lisa) Dunn of Boardman, Chris (Karen Damelio-Schmidt) Dunn of Youngstown, Kathy (Lloyd) Brooks of Danville, VA and Kim (Rick) Cooper of Rootstown; sister, Marianne Houston of Austintown and three grandchildren, Billy (Patricia) Dunn, Bryan (Kathryn) Dunn and Cameron Dunn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Patricia Stein, whom he married May 5, 1956 and died Feb. 12, 2020; and his brother, James Dunn.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 10:30 to 11 am at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, where a memorial service will follow at 11 am.
