Austintown- funeral services will be celebrated 1PM Monday in the Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dale R. Giffin celebrant, for Lawrence J. Price, age 78, of Austintown, who died Friday morning at Shepard of the Valley.
Lawrence, known to most as Larry, was born August 1, 1930 in Youngstown to the late Lawrence and Jeannette Stewart Price.
Larry was employed by United Engineering, and Cold Metal Products before his employment at General Motors Lordstown Assembly Plant where he retired in 1993 with 22 years service.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the General Motors Retirees, the Stambaugh Pillars, Youngstown Saxon Club, and the NRA.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a nephew Jamie Price.
He is survived by his wife, the former Jeanie M. Hively, whom he married February 4, 1967. Three daughters, Debra Price Lepsik of Austintown, Dianna Jeff Wheeler of Youngstown, and Laura Lipe of Niles, two brothers, Richard Corrine Price of Boardman, and Thomas Kathy Price of Austintown, seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, four nieces, two nephews and his beloved Bassett Hounds, Baxter and Trinket.
Friends may call 5-8PM Sunday in the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and Monday at the Church one hour prior to services 12-1PM.
Burial in Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
