CANFIELD ? Prayers will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at the Holy Family Church for Lawrence A Stanislav, 56, who passed away suddenly Tuesday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center Boardman Campus.
Larry was born Sept. 25, 1953, in Youngstown, the son of Andrew and Dorothy Bukovinsky Stanislav.
Larry was a 1971 graduate of Ursuline High School. After attending Youngstown State University, he began working for Youngstown Tool & Die, a family owned business in 1969. He has had the opportunity to learn the manufacturing process by starting at the entry level position and advancing to foreman, shop manager, and then President in 1996. His innovative ideas have elevated YTD to one of the top die manufacturers in the country.
He was past volunteer for the Poland Fire Department. He was a member of the Holy Family Church, the Aluminum Extruders Council, Youngstown Warren Chamber of Commerce, and the Poland Knights of Columbus. His greatest love was spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.
Larry leaves his father, Andrew Stanislav of Boardman; his daughter, Kristyn Stanislav, and son, Andrew Stanislav, of Canfield; his former wife, Sandy Stanislav of Canfield; his sister, Chris Jim Doyle of New Middletown; his brother, Steve Bunny Stanislav of Poland; and five nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Stanislav.
Family and friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
