CANFIELD - A memorial service will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Lawrence Taylor, 77, who died Monday at home.
Lawrence was born Jan. 11, 1938, in St. Louis, the son of Robert and Evelyn Taylor.
He was a graduate of Carnegie Tech, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Lawrence worked as a graphic designer and illustrator at Pitt Studios for 33 years, until retiring.
Lawrence was a reader and enjoyed painting, taking walks, and photography.
His wife, the former Carolyn Ruth Caldwell, whom he married March 12, 1960, died May 16, 2015.
Lawrence is survived by a daughter, Laura (Quinn) Ellis of Portersville, Pa.; two sons, Dan (Lori) Taylor of Medina and Derrick Taylor of Wheeling, W.Va.; a brother, Michael (Judith) Taylor of Parker, Colo.; and three grandchildren, Stephen, Jenna and Rachel Taylor.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Crossroads Hospice, 9775 Rockside Road, Suite 270, Valley View, OH 44125.
