Canfield. . . Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at 7:00 PM in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Canfield for Lawson Edward Dripps, Sr. Age, 77 who died Sunday afternoon at his residence.
He was born March 31, 1927, in Youngstown a son of Lawson W. and Marie H. Leinen Dripps.
Lawson was employed by the Edward J. DeBartolo Corp. as a construction/carpenter for 38 years retiring in 1988. He is a Navy W.W.II veteran, a member of the carpenters Union Local #161 and a former member of the K Of C in Struthers, a devoted Catholic and enjoyed traveling and golfing.
His wife the former Theresa Ann Kral whom he married August 6, 1949, died October 24, 2002.
Lawson is a loving father and grandfather to his 2 daughters Carol J. David Novotny and Nancy J. George Peplow both of Dublin; two sons Lawson E., Jr. Lori and Thomas G. Mary Dripps both of Canfield; a sister Olga Jean Forsythe of Austintown ; 11 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and sister RoseMary Becker.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:45 PM on Tuesday at the church.
