YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Leonard L. Cirelli, 56, who went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday when he died suddenly on the Malone College Campus.
Leonard was born March 2, 1954, in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Mary Ann Gabriel Cirelli.
Leonard was a 1972 graduate of Ursuline High School. He was currently attending Malone College to complete his Bachelors Degree in Business Administrations. He worked for the Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital until the time of their closing. Leonard then became a buyer/material manager for the Orthopedic Surgery Center at Beeghly Medical Park.
He was a member of David Verzilli Gospel Ministry and Highway Tabernacle and Christian Assembly. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR racing, golf, long rides and was a faithful Indians fan.
He was a good husband and father. His greatest love was for his twin sons, David and Michael, whom he loved more then anything else. He will be deeply missed by his beloved family; his yorkie-poo, Princess; beloved friends; co-workers; and anybody he came in touch with.
Leonard leaves his wife, the former Cynthia L. Ritchie, whom he married April 16, 1977; his twin sons, David L. Cirelli at home and Michael L. Cirelli of Westerville; three sisters, Denise Ralph Nespeca, Laraine Joe Briganti and Mariellen Mark Cichanski, all of Boardman; sister-in-law Kathleen Cirelli of Canfield; brother-in-law Lou Rescineto of Boardman; mother-in-law Alberta Godinich of Austintown; sister-in-law Sheryl Tim Luman of Mineral Ridge and sister-in-law Myrna Rodney Scales of Greenville, Pa.; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; brother Joseph Cirelli; sister Linda Rescineto; nephew Brent Rescineto and great-niece Leanna Nespeca.
Family and friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
