YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will begin Friday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church for Linda Crocker, 45, who died peacefully Friday evening at home after a strong and courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease.
Linda was born Jan. 9, 1974, in Ft. Knox, Ky., the daughter of Norman Rednock and Luz N. (Colon) Cintron.
She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Linda worked for Islay’s Dairy and in the call center at Lillian Vernons for several years.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed playing the flute, swimming, but most of all, the time she spent with her daughter, Samantha.
Linda is survived by her husband, Richard Crocker, whom she married April 2, 1993; her mother Luz Cintron of Poland; daughter Samantha Crocker of Youngstown; former step-father, Jose Cintron; step-brother Christopher Cintron of Youngstown; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; sister April Rednock; brother Norman Rednock; and grandparents Deacon Felipe and Luz Colon and Norman and Betty Lou Rednock.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospice and Maxim Home Health, especially Deanna, Tiki, Shavonta, Barbara, Nancy and Samantha Crocker, for the care and compassion shown to Linda over the years.
