AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Austintown Community Church for Loretta F. DePuy, 85, who died early Sunday morning at Victoria House.

Loretta was born Sept. 19, 1925, in Marietta to the late Ellsworth and Beatrice Richie Theobald.

She was a member of Austintown Community Church.

She was a graduate of Marietta High School, Malone University, where she received her Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Education, and Westminster College, where she attained her Masters Degree in Education. Her teaching career spanned over 34 years, teaching 10 years for the Canton City Schools at Youtz Elementary, and 24 years for the Youngstown City Schools at Williamson Elementary from Sept. 1964 to July 1988.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. DePuy, whom she married Oct. 2, 1943, he died Oct. 10, 2000; her sister, Gertrude Weinstock; and her brother, George Theobald.

Loretta is survived by her two sons, Glenn D. Nancy DePuy of Long Island, N.Y., and Frank Joyce DePuy of Austintown; three grandchildren, Kimberly DePuy Scott Bronson, Jason Christopher Breanne DePuy and David Lee Stephanie Richmond DePuy; six great-grandchildren, Brendan Christopher DePuy, Aden Christopher DePuy, Devin Lee DePuy, Skyler Jane DePuy, William Scott Bronson and Airanne Starr Richmond.

Friends may call Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Austintown Community Church.

Burial will be at Green Haven Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of the Valley.
