YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Loretta A. Richards, 63, who passed away suddenly on Saturday.
Loretta was born May 2, 1951, in Youngstown, the daughter of Andrew and Elvira (Giura) Lucansky.
Loretta was a 1969 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. She repaired watches and jewelry at the Watch Box in the Southern Park Mall. Loretta was an avid sports enthusiast and was a fan of Ohio State and the Cleveland Browns. She enjoyed gardening and traveling. She also enjoyed going on Facebook and entertaining everyone. Loretta loved her family, friends and neighbors, and always looked forward to hosting neighborhood parties at her home.
Loretta leaves her husband, Adam M. Richards Jr., whom she married April 8, 1972; her mother, Elvira Lucansky of Youngstown; her daughter, Heather (Andrew) Barber of Boardman; her two sons, Craig (Valerie) Richards of Youngstown and Adam M. (April) Richards III of Campbell; four grandchildren, Nelson, Claire, James, and Jacklyn; her sister, Bernadine (Michael) Jacobs of Toledo; a niece, Elaina Rogers; a nephew, Andrew Jacobs; and many other nieces and nephews.
Loretta was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Lucansky.
Family and friends may pay their respects Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Material tributes may take the form of donations in care of the family at any Huntington Bank in Loretta's honor, or via Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes.
