Lori Derose

Youngstown. . . . . .Memorial services will be Thursday evening at 7:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Lori Lynn DeRose who died early Sunday morning at her home.
Lori was born April 15, 1957 in Buffalo, New York a daughter of John R. Jack and Carole M. Calkins DeRose Sr. and moved to Youngstown in 1966.
She is a 1975 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School, majoring in cosmetology.
Lori was a successful expert hair designer owning and operating her own salon, "Looks by Lori" located in Boardman for Fourteen years. She traveled extensively to hair shows throughout the country and Toronto.
She was a loving sister, daughter, granddaughter, aunt, cousin and niece to her large Italian family. Lori did not believe in accepting money from her family members and was very generous with her God given talents.
She was a very kind, polite, sincere sweet spirited soul and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her as well as the numerous clients whose lives she touched not only with her talents but who many became dear friends. Lori also loved to cook, sharing her gourmet skills with her nephew Danny.
Lori leaves her sister, Debra Lynn DeRose Barwick with who she shared her home, her companion, Bill Barwick, her nephew Daniel Craig Summer Barwick Jr and her two loving dogs Jake and Louie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother John R. DeRose Jr.
Friends may call from 6:00 to the time of service at the funeral home.
The family request donations to be made to the Lori Lynn DeRose Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
