AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Mrs. Lorine "Ginger" R. Illencik, 74, who died early Friday morning at Hospice House surrounded by her family.
She was born Aug. 7, 1938, in Youngstown, a daughter of Loron and Catherine Loftus Cox.
Lorine was a 1956 graduate of Boardman High School, a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, the American Business Woman Association, and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
She enjoyed cooking, bowling and watching sports, especially watching her grandchildren play sports. Her greatest joy was her family.
Lorine leaves her husband, Joseph S. Illencik, whom she married April 17, 1963; two daughters, Cathy John Hughes and Cindy Illencik of Poland; a son, Joe Suzanne Illencik of Boardman; four sisters, Catherine Joe Grostean of Miami, Naomi Conner of Newbury Park, Calif., Donna Dick Davis of Boardman, and Pat Rock Smith of Twin Falls, Idaho; one brother, Loron Cox of Newbury Park; four grandchildren, Melissa and John Hughes and Joe and Lauren Illencik; and a great-granddaughter, Natalie Hughes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joan Grim; and a brother, Willis Cox.
Friends may call Sunday from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
