Louis Daigneau

Austintown- Funeral services will be 11AM Saturday, November 1, 2008 in the Higgins- Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel with Rev. Fr. Mike Swierz for Louis A. Daigneau, age 82 of Austintown, who died Tuesday night at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Louis was born July 23, 1926 in Youngstown to the late Louis A. and Mary R. Madden Daigneau, Sr.
He was a 1944 Chaney High School graduate, and 1951 graduate of Bowling Green State University. He retired in June of 1976 as a Colonel from the U.S. Army with 33 years of service. He served in Vietnam, Cambodia, Germany, and Formosa.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret M. Laughran Daigneau who died February 22, 1979 and his brother Raymond E. Daigneau.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years Doreen Lucci Daigneau, whom he married June 21, 1986. Two daughters, Mary Ernie Flagg of Chambersburg, PA and Margaret Ann Allen Banks of Tampa, FL. Two sons, Louis A. Daigneau III of Springfield, VA and Peter J. Daigneau of Lowellville. Three grandchildren Erica, John, and Aaron; two great-grandchildren Brogan and Anna Theresa. He is also survived by five step children, Joseph Lucci, Mary Lucci, Patricia McKey, Thomas Lucci and John Lucci; 14 step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren.
Friends may call Saturday at the funeral home one hour prior to the services 10-11AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Democratic Party, or the Mill Creek MetroParks.
