Louis Rendes

MINERAL RIDGE - A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge located at 3654 N. Main St., for Mr. Louis F. Rendes, 71, who died Saturday evening at his residence, surrounded by his family.
"Lou" was born Jan. 1, 1946, in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Olga (Such) Rendes.
He was a 1963 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.
Lou worked for AVI Food Systems as the "vending route man" at G.M. Lordstown for 40 years. He was an avid sports fan, and since the 50s, has been a huge fan of the Indianapolis Colts, New York Yankees and Boston Celtics.
Lou enjoyed the outdoors especially camping, fishing, boating and water skiing. He was a coach for the Austintown Junior Soccer League, Niles Soccer League and Weathersfield Soccer Club. His greatest holiday was the 4th of July, which he loved the fireworks.
Lou leaves his wife, the former Deborah Ciccarelli, whom he married April 22, 1977; his sons, Louis (Kira) Rendes Jr. of Mineral Ridge, Eric Rendes of Struthers, Chris Rendes of Coitsville and Mark (January) Rendes of Austintown; his daughter, Trisha (Grant) Cates of Atlanta; his sister, Leona Semivan of Lowellville; and two grandchildren, Louis Rendes and Emilie Rendes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joseph Rendes.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of MVI Hospice for their care of Lou.
