AUSTINTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today, Nov. 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Lucille Peffer Fitzgerald, 93, who died early Wednesday morning at her residence.
Lucille was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Warren, the daughter of William and Emma Hillman Peffer.
She was an assembly line worker at GE Lamp for 12 years, until retiring. Lucille was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, casino trips and traveling.
Lucille's husband, Robert V. Fitzgerald, whom she married Feb. 8, 1947, died April 8, 2011.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Timothy Fitzgerald of Cincinnati, Jeanie Stachyra of Austintown, Maureen (Michael) Stein of Poland, William Peffer of Oxford, N.C., and Gary (Linda) Fitzgerald of Boardman, and Brad (Karen) Fitzgerald of North Lima; and a cousin, Freddy Kamperman.
Lucille was preceded in death by her son, Robert V. Fitzgerald Jr.; brothers Harold, William and Tommy Peffer; and sisters Pauline and Evelyn Peffer.
Family and friends may call today, for one hour prior to the services at the church.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
