AUSTINTOWN - Lucy Barnhart Brooks, 89, passed away Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Lucy was born April 1, 1929, in Lowellville, a daughter of the late John and Mary Stefano.
Lucy worked at Packard Electric for 27 years, retiring in 1998. She volunteered her time with various veteran organizations. She belonged to the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 737 in Lake Milton. Lucy enjoyed baking and cooking.
Lucy is survived by two daughters, Shelley (Louis) Chine and Debbie Hamilton both of Austintown; a daughter-in-law, Maureen Barnhart of Austintown; three grandchildren, James (Jill) Barnhart, Adam Chine, and Aaron (Amanda) Chine; three great-grandchildren, Lana, Lucy, and Zieta; a great-grandson on the way, Louie; a sister, Mary Sackin of Hillsville, Pa.; and her dog companion, Sophia.
Lucy was preceded in death by a son, Allan Barnhart; two sisters, Rose and Agnes; and four brothers, Slim, Tony, Johnny, and Al.
Family and friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
