POLAND - Lucy L. Moran, 87, died peacefully Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Hospice House surrounded by her family.
Lucy was born August 18, 1936, in Warren, the daughter of Marshall and Marie Donham Croell.
She was a graduate of Newton Falls High School. Lucy worked for Komara Jewelers for 20 years, a job she was deeply passionate about. Lucy was also an integral part of starting Window World and was very proud to work so closely with her family.
Lucy enjoyed spending her winters in Florida with her family and friends. She and her husband, Fred, enjoyed many adventures together, including living and having their first baby in Germany, visiting Fred’s mother’s birthplace in Scotland, and traveling to many other areas of the world. She greatly enjoyed shopping and socializing with her dearest friends. Above all, Lucy loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lucy was a previous member of St. Joseph Church before moving to Poland and becoming a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick T. Moran, whom she married April 12, 1958; daughter Linda Marie (Joe) Vivacqua of Poland; son Patrick Marshall (Angie) Moran of Poland; sisters, Emalene (Robert) Taylor of Lake Milton and Bonnie Garard of Warren; brother Ronnie Croell of Newton Falls; sister-in-law Pam Croell of Austintown; four grandchildren, Patrick Moran, Amanda (Harrison) Fluck, Dayna (Joseph) Revetti and Danny Vivacqua; three great-grandchildren, Rocco Joseph Revetti, Emma Mae Moran and Mealla Grace Fluck; and several nieces and nephews.
She will certainly be missed by her dear friends and all who had the opportunity to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ivan Croell.
Family and friends may call Monday, January 29, 2024 from 4 to 6 pm at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel and Tuesday from 10 to 10:45 am at St. Paul the Apostle Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Ursuline Sisters Mission, 4280 Shields Road
