BOARDMAN - Services will be Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Lucy Patasce, 91, who died Sunday evening at the Vista Care Center in Boardman.
Lucy was born Nov. 14, 1922, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Sophie Filetti Pizzuto.
She was a beautician and owner/operator of Lucy's Beauty Shop for many years before retiring. She was a former member of St. Charles Church and enjoyed crochet, sewing, baking and cooking, and most especially growing and nurturing her beautiful rose bushes.
Her husband, Joseph A. Patasce, whom she married in September of 1940, died May 5, 1979.
She is survived by two sons, Vincent E. (Barbara) Patasce of Pasadena, Md., and Joseph A. (Linda) Patasce of Poland; two sisters, Theresa Zukoski and Yolanda Wilson; a brother, William J. Pizzuto; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Patasce; a son-in-law, Richard Musser; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Musser; a son, Victor J. Patasce; two sisters, Frances Fletcher and Mary Ferrari; and five brothers, Joseph, Rocco, John, Edward and Anthony Pizzuto.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to All Caring Hospice, 6715 Tippecanoe Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
