Lynda J. Cruickshank

YOUNGSTOWN - Lynda J. Cruickshank passed away on July 7, 2024, at the age of 75, surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 31, 1949, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Edward P. and Stephenie (Kohut) Yozwiak. 

Lynda attended St. Brendan Catholic grade school and graduated from Chaney High School in 1967. She earned her Associates Degree from Youngstown State University and worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service for over 25 years.

Lynda cherished spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren. Lynda loved animals and the environment. Her generous spirit led her to engage in various charitable endeavors for these causes. Millcreek Park held a special place in her heart, where she found solace in nature's beauty and serenity. Lynda also enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas and using Facebook to keep up with friends and family.

In addition to her parents, Lynda was preceded in death by her brother, William Yozwiak. 

Lynda leaves behind her loving husband of 42 years, Raymond Cruickshank; children, Daniel (Diane) Yozwiak, of Youngstown and Tara (David) Martin, of Chagrin Falls; eight grandchildren, Atty. Daniel Yozwiak, Mackenzie and Dominic Yozwiak and Lucas, Zachary, Fiona, Violet, and Benjamin Martin. She will also be missed by her cat, Buttons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at St. Brendan Church in Youngstown. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
