Boardman - There will be services Wednesday at 1 PM at Zion Lutheran Church for Marcella E. "Marcie" Gent, age 81, who passed away Saturday at Western Reserve Masonic Community in Medina.
Marcie was born October 3, 1925, in Palmyra, Indiana, a daughter of William and Hazel Fessel Voyles.
Marcie was a homemaker. She was a Den Mother in Pack 47 Boy Scouts of America and a Campfire Girl Leader. Marcie was 1st Lady of
Canfield Country Club and was a member of the Sweetbriar Garden Club. She was also a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church. Marcie enjoyed golfing, gardening and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her husband Edward Richard "Dick" Gent whom she married December 21, 1946, passed away January 5, 1991.
Marcie leaves two daughters Connie Hendricks of Medina and Cindy RickMarcu of Strongsville; two sons Richard W. Pamela Gent of Boardman, and Thomas E. Gent of Austintown; five sisters Margaret Conn, Wilma Frazure, Mary Strait, Bernadine Naiser, and Pauline Hublar; three brothers Joseph, Robert and William Voyles; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Marcie is preceded in death by a sister Maxine Davis; a brother Gerald Voyles;a daughter-in-law Janet Gent and a grandson Timothy Gent.
Family and Friends May call Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
Family requests material tributes take the form of donation to the Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
