YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel for Margaret L. Anderson, 93, who passed away Saturday at Omni Manor.
Margaret was born Aug. 12, 1918, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late David and Lillian Larkins Jenkins.
Margaret was a 1935 graduate of Chaney High School. She was a very active member of the Mahoning United Methodist Church, where she helped in the kitchen, the Wesmeth Class and the Hen House. She was a republican central committee person for many years. Margaret was an avid bowler and card player and loved life.
Her husband, James E. Anderson, whom she married July 25 1940, passed away Oct. 24, 1983.
Margaret leaves three sons, Jim Ruth Anderson of Boardman, Richard Debbie Anderson of Boardman and Thomas Kathy Anderson of Gahana; seven grandchildren, Lynn Bob Wittmann, David Anderson, Bradley Anderson., Lauren Malik, Diana Chris Sustar, Curtis Anderson and Elise Anderson; and three great-grandchildren, Michael, Marissa, and Mark Wittmann.
Margaret was also preceded in death by two brothers, Monte M. Jenkins and Curtis Jenkins.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Belmont Park Cemetery.
