POLAND - Prayers will begin Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, for Margaret F. Biroschak, 91, who died Sunday evening at Masternick Memorial Health Care.
Margaret was born March 30, 1923, in Youngstown, the daughter of Andrew and Katherine (Dulovich) Kosco.
She was a graduate of Struthers High School and was a homemaker, who dedicated her life to her family.
Margaret was one of the founding members of the Holy Family Church, a member of the Altar Guild, the K-Cettes, and several craft clubs.
Her husband, Joseph E. Biroschak, whom she married Sept. 15, 1945, died Aug. 8, 2005.
Margaret is survived by a daughter, Karen (Michael) McGarry of Poland; five sons, Joseph (Kathy) Biroschak Jr. of Berlin Township, Ronald (Mary Jo) Biroschak of New Springfield, Thomas Biroschak of Poland, Timothy (Margaret Williams) Biroschak of New Middletown, and Mark (Teresa Loney) Biroschak of Boardman; a sister, Alice McDonald of Boardman; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie Biroschak; two sisters, Marie Desimone and Katherine Pompeii; and seven brothers, Stephen, Andrew, John, Emil, George, Robert and Albert Kosco.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests that donations be made to a foundation for the research and cure of a severe genetic disorder that causes seizures at The Jack Pribaz Foundation/KCNQ2-ORG, P.O. Box 813, Wheaton, IL 60187.
