Margaret Cappelli

August 22, 1928 — March 18, 2007

BOARDMAN ­ There will be services Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the
Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, and at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown, for Margaret ³Peggy² Stratford Cappelli, 78, who passed away Sunday morning at her home.

She was born Aug. 22, 1928 in Youngstown, a daughter of Phil Leondis and Margaret L. Cappy Stratford.

Peggy was a 1946 graduate of Ursuline High School and graduated from Youngstown State University. She was a teacher at J.F.K. in Warren for 12 years. She was a Girl Scout Leader and a member of the CPA Wives, Ohio Cultural Association, Catholic Collegiate, Youngstown Alumni Association, Cursilio, a women¹s golf league, a member of St. Brendan Church and a member of the Saxon Club. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother and will
be deeply missed.

Her husband, Edward J. Cappelli, whom she married Aug. 21, 1948, died March 12, 1990.

She leaves four daughters, Lorene Bill Pfahler of Canfield, Edina Phil Zmuda of Perrysburg, Linda Doug Cappelli-Sladick of Twinsburg and Sandra Kevin O¹Neill of Youngstown; four sisters, Jean Rhodes of Salem, Phyllis McCarthy of Knoxville, Tenn., Blanche Lanterman of Leetonia and Kathryn Filicky of Knoxville; four brothers, Phil Stratford of Vinita, Okla., George
Stratford of Espyville, Pa., Earl Stratford of Mason and Norman Stratford of Pandora; and nine grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; and a grandson.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
