AUSTINTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Margaret G. "Margie" Dinda, 87, who died early Saturday morning at Autumn Hills Nursing Home, surrounded by her family.
Margie was born March 31, 1927, in Youngstown, to John and Margaret Durda Trojan.
She was a graduate of Chaney High School and a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Margie was a former member of the Altar and Rosary Guild, IHM Seniors, an honorary member of the Garden Club, the IHM Bowling League, and the Westchester Seniors. She was also a notary and a Eucharistic Minister.
Her husband, Andrew Dinda, whom she married June 12, 1948, died July 31, 2003.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Patricia (John) Gernat of Howland; a son, Andrew (Joan) Dinda of Pittsburgh; a daughter-in-law, Jenifer Dinda of Pittsburgh; and a grandson, Lennon Dinda of Pittsburgh.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Richard Dinda and brother John Trojan.
Family and friends may call Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
