STREETSBORO - Prayers will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Church for Margaret A. Jones, 90, formerly of Poland, who passed from this life on Thursday, Sept. 15, at Akron City Hospital.
She was born Dec. 11, 1920, in Youngstown, a daughter of Martin S. and Sophie Dlugos Korsala, and graduated from Chaney High School in 1939.
Mrs. Jones worked at Truscon Manufacturing as a payroll clerk during the 1940s and 1950s. Later, she served as an accounting clerk at Edwin K. Williams & Co. of Boardman
She was friendly and personable to everyone, and made friends easily everywhere she went.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Jones, whom she married July 10, 1946; her brother, Joseph M. Korsala; and sisters, Mary L. Livosky and Ann M. Ray.
Mrs. Jones leaves her daughter, Mary Jane Jones of Streetsboro, with whom she made her home. She also leaves a sister, Helen M. Day; two nieces, Joanne Roch David and Marilyn Livosky James Madden; three nephews, Ted R. Jones Barbara, Richard H. Jones Janet, and Thomas L. Jones; and three great-nieces, three great-nephews, three great-great-nieces, and three great-great-nephews.
Friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
The family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to the Holy Family Church Parish Center Fund.
